A regular oil change just makes sense.

Over time, as you drive, the oil inside your engine collects dirt and grit. That dirt and grit wears down the engine parts and makes your engine work harder. When left untouched, all that grime affects your gas mileage and ultimately ruins expensive parts.

When the average engine replacement cost is in the thousands, bringing your car in regularly for oil changes is the right choice.

What makes McCormick’s oil change different?

Our mechanics look at every car and truck that rolls into our shop as if it were our mom’s. We don’t just bring it in, put it up on the lift and get down to business. We approach an oil change more as a checkup at the doctor’s office rather than a simple fluid change.

The McCormick Oil Change Promise:

We want you to be just as confident in our auto repair abilities as we are. We guarantee our auto repair services with an industry-leading 5 year/60,000 mile warranty. Whether you need an oil change, brake repair, timing belt replacement, engine service or more, we’ve got you covered. Plus, we also have a free local shuttle service to get you where you need to go while your vehicle is in our shop, and loaner cars available for longer repairs!

Here’s How We Do It

  • An initial test drive: A technician takes your car for a short test drive. We want to hear how the engine sounds. We want to feel how the car brakes. We want to feel how it accelerates.

  • A complimentary digital safety inspection: Once our technician returns from the test drive, we check all of the fluids, not just the oil. We visually inspect the brakes, the tires and the suspension components to make sure your vehicle is safe.

  • A complete oil change: We drain your oil. We remove your old oil filter. We install a new oil filter and new oil.

  • A comprehensive report: When you come to pick up your car, we go over anything we’ve found with your car. Most of the time, we don’t find anything. Sometimes, we find things that you simply need to keep an eye on. Maybe your brakes will need to be changed in 10k miles or maybe your tires are showing a little wear. Other times we do find things that may need near or immediate attention. Basically, we keep an eye on your car so you don’t have to and let you know that “Hey, you might want to budget for new brakes. You’re going to need them soon.” or “If you take care of that small leak now, it won’t turn into a major expense down the road.”

How often should I change my oil?

That depends. It depends on your cars make and model and what type of oil your engine needs. For standard motor oil, the industry standard is every 3 months or 3,500 miles. For synthetic oil, the industry standard is every 5 months or 5,000 miles. And for diesel engines, the industry standard is also 5 months or 5,000 miles.

What type of oil do you use at McCormick’s?

All vehicles require a specific oil based on what climate you drive your car in. And, all vehicles come with an oil recommendation.  Our mechanics will follow your vehicle’s recommendation and use the appropriate oil. These oils can be:

  • Synthetic blend for a standard oil change

  • Full synthetic oil for a premium oil change

  • Diesel oil for a diesel oil change
